Fitted to the Front of the Artillery Shield Aiming Posts Were Used with all Non-Direct Fire Artillery as a Method of Providing a Fixed Point for Laying the Gun Sights on, Preferably a Distant G.A.P. (Gun Aiming Point) is Used as this Provides Greater Accuracy, but in Poor Weather or at Night the Posts Come into their Own.
